MEET TERRAY

Terray Sylvester has pursued mountain sports for more than 30 years. Originally from the Lake Tahoe area of California, he grew up rock climbing and skiing throughout the Sierra Nevada mountains with his father, Rick Sylvester, a lifelong climber and adventurer. Terray has climbed throughout the U.S., and abroad. As a guide, he currently works mainly in the North Cascades, where he looks forward to each opportunity to share his passion for the mountains with his clients. Terray lives in Hood River, Oregon, which serves as a base for his other job as a photojournalist. His images and articles have appeared in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, Newsweek, National Geographic Online, Outside Magazine Online and many other publications.
